DEMAND that Lenoir City MAYOR and CITY COUNCIL address payment for E-911 Services

The Issue

To: Residents, Family Members and Friends of Residents, Business Owners, and Patrons of Businesses within the incorporated limits of Lenoir City, Tennessee:

PLEASE sign this petition to demand that Lenoir City Mayor Tony Aikens, and all members of the Lenoir City Council address all outstanding E-911 invoices and implement a clear and transparent plan for the future of our emergency services.

If I am a resident who can vote in City elections, I will seriously consider this issue when casting my vote for Mayor and City Council in the next election.

I am aware that current Councilwoman Robin McNabb is working to resolve this issue, and I thank and support her efforts.

DEMAND emand that the Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Council address all outstanding E-911 invoices and implement a clear and transparent plan for the future of our emergency services.

The integrity and efficiency of the E-911 Center services provided to the residents and businesses of Lenoir City are at stake due to the city’s unwillingness to pay outstanding invoices. This has placed essential emergency services in jeopardy and risks the safety and well-being of the entire community.

The E-911 Center is our city’s lifeline in emergencies, providing indispensable services that ensure rapid response to crises, save lives, and protect property. Unpaid invoices compromise the financial stability of these services, which could lead to delays or cuts in service. This is unacceptable and poses a significant threat to public safety.

A transparent budget and a documented, comprehensive payment plan must be established by the Lenoir City Council to guarantee that these vital services are not only maintained but also enhanced to meet future demands.

Community engagement is essential in this process. By demanding transparency and prioritizing public safety, we can work together to ensure Lenoir City meets its obligations and continues to provide these critical services. Let us urge our City Council to act swiftly and responsibly.

Sign this petition to demand that the Lenoir City Council address all outstanding E-911 invoices and implement a clear and transparent plan for the future of our emergency services.
