I have officially sent out my proposal, and made the Governor of Oregon aware of this petition. If you are serious about supporting this cause, I suggest all of you reach out individually to the Governor as well, via the Share your Opinion form- and be sure to reference the petition in your submission in some way, so that she knows we are in this together and we are serious. 

Let's do this! I will update again when I have contacted more elected officials, and send a reminder as to how you can do the same at that time. Until then, keep doing what you can to spread this petition to as many people as you can; I know many will support it!
