Why isn't the suffering of innocent animals being treated with the gravity it warrants?
In 2019, the UK government promised to increase maximum prison sentences for animal abusers from six months to five years. We are calling on the UK justice system to enforce stricter penalties for those convicted of animal abuse, and to ensure that anyone guilty of such acts receives a custodial sentence worthy of their crime, alongside a permanent ban from owning any animal.
