As an independent artist, I've experienced the heartbreak of having my music unfairly targeted by botting twice in the past couple months. Several friends have had songs completely erased due to this issue. These are not isolated incidents, but part of a bigger problem that intimidates artists and distorts their dedication and creativity. Spotify pays $.003 per stream. We're not here to become rich; we're here for the love of the art.

A significant amount of independent artists' work becomes invisible because of botting practices on Spotify's platform. The result of these actions essentially removes chances for these artists to be heard by potential fans, significantly impacting both their career growth and income.

It's time we call on Spotify to take firm action towards eliminating botted playlists, and ensuring a fair playing field for all artists. We should not have to worry about artificial manipulation affecting our careers. We want Spotify to protect our music and our livelihood, and to ensure that our voices continue to be heard.
