I am a tenant living in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, CA, under the management of SolarRentals. My fellow tenants and I have been dealing with neglectful conditions that are not only inconvenient but also hazardous. We have endured broken doors and windows, lack of on-site management, unauthorized access due to a broken front door - all contributing to an unsafe environment for us. The building has become a haven for illicit activities such as prostitution and heavy drug use and violence . Additionally, we face a major pest control issue that has been ignored by the property managers.

SolarRentals continues to collect rent without addressing these pressing issues while simultaneously acquiring more properties. This is unacceptable behavior from any landlord or property management company who should prioritize the safety and comfort of their tenants above all else.

According to California Civil Code 1941.1 & 1941.3 landlords are required by law to keep their rental properties habitable (source: California Legislative Information). Yet our living conditions clearly violate these laws.

We demand that SolarRentals immediately address these issues - repair the broken doors and windows; ensure proper security measures; eliminate pest infestation; halt illegal activities within the premises; provide an on-site manager for immediate assistance; and comply with state laws regarding rental property maintenance.
