I have been a victim of bullying all my life, often belittled by older generations who fail to understand or appreciate the unique talents and skills of younger individuals. This is why the recent incident involving Sky News reporter Jayne Secker and Blue Scuti, the youngest and arguably greatest Tetris player of all time, resonates deeply with me.

During live television, Ms. Secker demonstrated a clear lack of respect towards 13 years old Willis Gibson's achievements in the gaming world - achievements that are not only impressive but also unprecedented. She downplayed his accomplishments and bullied him on air, reflecting an attitude that is both unprofessional and harmful.

Tetris has been recognized as one of the most influential games in history (source: Guinness World Records), shaping many aspects of modern gaming culture. It requires strategic thinking, quick reflexes, and immense dedication - qualities that Blue Scuti (Willis Gibson) has proven to possess in abundance.

We believe it is essential for media professionals like Ms. Secker to uphold standards of respect when reporting the news from diverse backgrounds and fields - especially when those accomplishers, are young people who look up to them as role models.

It is very important to point out Blue Scuti's father had just passed away and this achievement was dedicated to him. All this reporter could muster was laughing and downplaying his accomplishment.

It is not the first time, Ms. Secker was caught making controversial unwarranted comments on the air.
