With rising rent, transport, and medical costs, the current allowances remain unchanged since 2008, failing to meet the economic realities of today. The Teaching Allowance stands at just 1,000 PKR, an amount far too low to support the needs of educators who dedicate their lives to this profession.
House Rent, Conveyance, Medical, and Teaching Allowances must be revised immediately. Inflation has steadily increased, but teacher compensation has remained stagnant. The House Rent Allowance (HRA), Conveyance Allowance, Medical Allowance, and Teaching Allowance have remained stagnant since 2008. Teachers, who already work long hours under stressful conditions, are now forced to endure financial stress that further impacts their ability to perform at their best.
