Demand secure housing for abuse survivors within their communities

Demand secure housing for abuse survivors within their communities
The Issue
Provide Immediate Safe Housing & Support for Survivors of Abuse
Survivors of child trafficking, sexual abuse, child abuse, and domestic violence are being placed in unsafe, unsuitable accommodations due to a lack of immediate housing. Families fleeing abuse often end up in hostels or overcrowded spaces, leaving them vulnerable to further harm. Mental health support is also severely delayed, with children waiting months—or even years—for essential services.
We demand urgent action:
1. Immediate Safe Housing – Allocate emergency housing for survivors, ensuring they are placed in secure, trauma-informed environments.
2. Faster Mental Health Support – Reduce waiting times for children and families to access counseling and essential services.
3. Repurpose Empty Buildings – Utilize vacant properties to create purpose-built shelters with 24/7 professional support.
4. Accountability & Investigation – Ensure all incidents of abuse and trafficking are fully investigated by the police and other relevant services, with proper support for victims.
5. Protect Survivors, Not Perpetrators – Survivors should not be forced to leave their communities due to threats or intimidation—offenders should be removed instead.
6. Holistic Recovery Support – Provide gym facilities and wellness programs to aid survivors’ mental and physical recovery
Families escaping abuse need protection, not delays. Sign this petition to demand immediate action.
