These aren't just words on a petition.
Serious concerns have been raised about conditions at the Accomack County Jail, including extreme heat, sewage and plumbing problems, shower drainage and mold, electrical issues, maintenance concerns, and the overall condition of the facility.
AND THERE’S MORE:
Members of the Accomack County Board of Supervisors have said they plan to tour the jail and see the conditions for themselves.
Vanessa K. Johnson serves as Vice Chair, Donald L. Hart Jr. serves as a Supervisor, and C. Reneta Major serves as Chair of the Board for 2026.
