My children, along with numerous others in the Pine Bush School District, NY, area, are being asked to walk in busy streets with no sidewalks, facing oncoming traffic, just to get to their new school bus pick-up location. This recent change in the school district's bus routes is not only inefficient but also poses a serious hazard to the welfare of our children. It underscores a disregard for child safety and fails to prioritize our children's wellbeing over administrative convenience. 

According to the National Safety Council, most of the injuries incurred at school bus stops are from not the movement of the bus, but from children walking outside of the designated safe zones unknowingly. We cannot expect our young ones to navigate these treacherous paths daily and expose them to unnecessary risks. We, the concerned parents of the Pine Bush School District, call on the district to take immediate action.

We demand the restoration of the previous pickup locations and insist on the prioritization of our children's safety in future decisions. We cannot afford to gamble with our children's lives, and we will not stand by as their safety is compromised. We implore the Pine Bush School District to consider this urgent plea as we strive to guarantee the safety of our children.
