I am a resident of Rockland County, NY,. Every day, I along with many others face the hazardous conditions of our roads due to the numerous potholes that have been left unattended. These potholes are not just an inconvenience; they pose a significant safety risk and cause property damage to vehicles.

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), pothole damage costs U.S. drivers $3 billion annually. In addition, a study by TRIP, a national transportation research group found that 33% of major local roads in New York are in poor condition due to lack of maintenance.

This is not just about vehicle repair costs; it's about our safety and quality of life. We should not have to worry about damaging our cars or risking accidents every time we drive on our local roads.

We call upon the State and Rockland County authorities to prioritize road maintenance and repair all existing potholes as soon as possible. Our community deserves safe and well-maintained roads.
