Thank you for signing the Petition for a Healthy America.
Because of your support, something remarkable happened.
On November 5, thousands of people from across the country came together in Washington, DC for the 911 March for Health and Science. Fifteen organizations — physicians, nurses, scientists, and public health advocates — united to deliver your signature along with 150,000 others from multiple petitions to Congress and rally outside the Department of Health and Human Services.
As we prepared for the march, something unexpected happened:
every one of the organizations involved asked the same question —
“How can we build on this?”
To carry this work forward, I have founded the Science Accountability Institute, a new non-profit organization dedicated to:
- Defending credible, expert-vetted science
- Countering misinformation and disinformation
- Providing clear, accessible information for the public and policymakers
- Supporting a growing coalition committed to evidence-based public health
This effort is already producing results — including the formation of the Coalition for a Healthy America, new partnerships among medical and scientific groups, and plans for future public actions in 2026.
If you believe in the importance of science, truth, and health-based policymaking, I hope you’ll consider supporting the launch of the Science Accountability Institute (Note that donations on the Change.org site do NOT go to us):
Even if you’re not able to donate, simply sharing this update helps enormously.
Thank you again for raising your voice.
Together, we can make sure this movement continues.
