My first birthday without you, Jaxon,

was a reminder of the unwavering love

and determination that burns within

me, as your mother. On my twenty-seventh birthday, I realized that true celebration lies in a beautiful simplicity, the joy of being a family.

    My heart longs for the day, my fur baby, Jaxon, will be back in my arms, making our family whole again. That will be the day I truly celebrate.

     Losing a pet is like having a child taken away and Jaxon is not just a pet, he is my son. 

    Which brings me to another realization I had on my birthday - that family comes in many forms. The support of over FOURTEEN HUNDRED people joining in the fight for my boy back has made this dog moms heart overflow with gratitude 💙  

I will fight for Jaxon's return and for stricter punishments for those who would take someone's child, be it human or animal.
