As a concerned citizen, the current state of affairs in my country deeply troubles me. The actions, or lack thereof, of the House of Representatives and the Senate towards what many perceive as a tyranny in the executive branch are distressing. It raises questions of who they truly represent – their constituents who elected them, or the growing autocracy in our executive branch. Ideally, a balance of powers should exist among these branches to prevent any one from attaining unchecked authority. Yet, with many crucial decisions lately, it seems like this balance has been upset. It's evident that there is a decline in the effectiveness and fearlessness of the representatives in both houses. Our democracy is at stake, and this is why I urge every informed and responsible citizen to take a stand. Let's raise our voices and demand that our elected representatives act responsibly for the people they represent. We urge the House of Representatives and the Senate to fight against the might of the executive branch by enforcing balance and checks, reinstating integrity in the system, and representing the will of the people.
