Demand Respect for Students' Reproductive Rights at Our High School

The Issue

Like many high school students, we strive to learn and grow in a supportive and respectful environment. However, the presence of the "Students for Life" club at our high school, which is strongly pro-life, undermines this pursuit. Their activities have been disturbing for a segment of our student community, creating feelings of apprehension and fear around our reproductive rights.

In the United States, 78% of all American adults agree that abortion should be legal in all or most cases, according to a report by Pew Research Center. Therefore, it's fair to assume that some of our students align with this majority. By allowing a pro-life club to operate at our school, we are failing to represent and respect the diverse views and rights of all students.

We are not suggesting to suppress the rights of others to their opinions; rather, we are asking our school to take active measures to ensure an unbiased and inclusive environment. This means not having clubs that promote a viewpoint that can potentially infringe on the rights and well-being of students.

In light of this, we urge our high school administration to remove and prevent the reformation of such clubs on campus. Please add your voice to this important cause by signing our petition. Let's foster a more accepting and respectful learning environment together.
