Petition for the Resignation of the Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon:

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate resignation of the Governor of Wyoming due to his failure to implement crucial predator torture laws and address the inhumane treatment of wildlife in the majority of the states region known as the predator zone.

Refusal to Implement Predator Torture Laws: The governor's reluctance to enact laws protecting predators like wolves, coyotes, and bears has led to barbaric practices such as running them over with vehicles, causing immense pain and suffering before death.

Failure to Prosecute Animal Cruelty: Despite clear instances of animal cruelty, such as the case of Cody Roberts who tortured a young female wolf to death at the Green River Bar in Daniel, Wyoming, the governor has failed to take appropriate legal action even when the Wyoming Game and fish agency only cited Cody with an embarrassingly small ticket of $250, while the Sublette County Sheriffs office was not even notified. now that he has been aware of the incident, he has so far refused to make any significant changes to law or prosecute Cody Roberts.

Misleading Claims: In a recent speech, the governor falsely praised Wyoming's "great wolf management" track record, which contradicts the reality of cruel hunting practices and lack of regulations in the predator zone covering 85% of the state.
Wyoming's reputation as a barbaric place for animals cannot be ignored. The continued tolerance of such cruelty reflects poorly on our state's values and integrity.

Therefore, we call on the governor to resign immediately to uphold basic standards of compassion and ethical treatment of wildlife in a state that generates over a billion dollars in tourism dollars each year, much of which is because people value the wildlife of Wyoming and want to see the animals alive, not dead or tortured!
