The Issue

As a deeply concerned citizen, I am disturbed by the conduct of public officials during the trial of Derek Chauvin. Their actions, labeling an officer a murderer and prosecuting him for following protocol, represent at best gross incompetence and at worst gross negligence or even criminal behavior.

Derek Chauvin's case was one that gripped the nation. However, it is crucial to remember that every individual is entitled to a fair trial under our justice system. The premature judgment passed by these officials not only undermines this fundamental right but also questions their ability to uphold justice impartially.

In 2020 alone, there were over 1,000 fatal police shootings in the United States (source: Statista). Each case deserves careful examination without bias or preconceived notions. By calling for these officials' resignation, we aim to ensure that all future cases are handled with fairness and integrity.

This petition seeks your support in demanding accountability from those who have failed in their duty towards upholding justice impartially. Please sign this petition if you believe in fair trials and unbiased prosecution for all citizens regardless of their profession.

Named public officials include (but are not limited to):

Peter A. Cahill - District Judge presiding over Derek Chauvin's trial who disallowed evidence showing MRT procedure and body am footage of the incident

Keith Ellison - MN Attorney General lead prosecutor who worked with the FBI to construct a narrative of gross misconduct/homicide rather than rely on factual evidence

Erin Eldridge - MN Assistant Attorney General

Jacob Frey - Mayor of Minneapolis, MN who promoted Chauvin's guilt prior to his trial

Matthew Frank - MN Assistant Attorney General now District Judge

Jerry Blackwell - MN Special Assistant Attorney General now Federal Judge

Tim Walz - MN Governor who much like Mayor Frey treated the case as a homicide long before it ever made it to the courtroom

These individuals listed, as well as any others involved not listed here, are supposed to uphold the values instilled in this country by our Constitution. Instead they promoted a narrative of racism and bigotry that simply does not line up with the facts. They not only interfered with Chauvin's 6th amendment right to a fair trial, but incited the already churning mob to further destroy the City of Minneapolis for the alleged "murder" of George Perry Floyd, despite the official autopsy and medical examination showing Floyd's fatal levels of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, and history of health issues.
