Often we Canadians think our hands are clean when it comes to billionaires sexually abusing children.  Unfortunately not.

Over the years, we have entrusted our leaders with managing our Canada Pension Plan (CPP) pension funds, believing that they would act as decently as most Canadians would. However, recent events have shattered this trust.

I am a concerned citizen, a parent and a grandparent. I cannot ignore that John Graham (President/CEO of CPP Investments), under the oversight of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne (Minister of Finance and National Revenue) have misused our CPP funds to finance child pornography. 

This isn't just a betrayal of trust, but an assault on our values as Canadians and as decent humans. We cannot allow the perversion of billionaires to taint what Canada stands for. 

Some billionaires see sexual abuse of children as "business as usual". We, the people of Canada, must firmly tell these men in power "NO".  We must declare that exploitation and abuse of children will never be tolerated. The idea that our pension contributions, which are meant to secure our future, are being misused for such vile activities is disgusting, horrifying and unacceptable. 

We all now know that pedophiles lurk throughout the halls of power in both government and corporate spaces and these rich powerful men think they can harm children with impunity and nobody can stop them. It’s a betrayal to our most basic moral convictions that John Graham and François-Philippe Champagne have enabled and supported this perversity using public funds.

We must act now. It is imperative that John Graham and François-Philippe Champagne get the message from ordinary Canadians and are held accountable and removed from their positions. We demand a transparent investigation into these investments, divestment from Grok, and we demand that those who misuse power are taught that supporting paedophilia is not acceptable to Canadians. 

Children depend on us standing up for what's right. This is about sending a message to those in power: if you betray our trust, you will be removed and replaced with leaders with decency.
