Doug Stephen, "adhesive on the leaves" is not a solution

Following my initial video in May, a Winnipeg Free Press reporter got in touch with me to interview me about the story. However, to date, no article has been published.

This week she sent me the following message:
"I called Doug at WOW hospitality and we had a discussion about the issue. He had told me at the time that he was special ordering an adhesive to apply to the leaves that would keep them on the trees. I spoke about it with my editor and we both came to the decision that since the company vowed to fix the problem, there wasn’t really a story to be written anymore."

I find it laughable that Doug Stephen, CEO of WOW! Hospitality Concepts and 529 Wellington Steakhouse, thinks that this is a believable 'solution'. It is practically implausible that someone will get up on a stepladder and meticulously apply a dollop of glue on every single leaf across each of the 6 trees, or that this will provide a permanent resolution to the issue.
