I am a resident and business owner in Euroa VIC, Australia. Over the past two months, starting from November 8th to January 11th, our community has experienced an unprecedented 14 power outages. Some of these outages have lasted over 24 hours, most without any explanation and not related to storms.

These frequent power disruptions have severely impacted local businesses including my own. Many of us have had to cancel appointments and close our doors unexpectedly due to these outages, resulting in significant financial losses.

Moreover, the battery backup for phone towers also runs out during these extended periods without power. This poses a serious risk as it impedes communication during emergencies.

Our local council and politicians need to be aware of this crisis that we are facing on a daily basis. We urge AUSNET - our power company - along with local government officials to take immediate action towards ensuring reliable electricity supply in Euroa VIC.

We cannot continue operating under such unpredictable conditions where our livelihoods are at stake due to unreliable electricity provision.
