Officer Garet Loveday has repeatedly abused his power, committing acts such as false arrests and fabrication of police reports, subsequently leading to unjust convictions. We believe that the Sevierville Police Department (SPD) needs to reform its practices, pay keen attention to its officers' conduct, and undergo comprehensive training on constitutional rights. Officers must be made aware that when they violate a civilian's rights, their qualified immunity will not provide them protection.
