Unfortunately, the only changes that have come about as a result of our petition is for the 'leadership' to work on a campaign to change public perception, silence those who speak up, and to hide behind their save rate.
They are adding 15 or more dogs at a time on the euthanasia list, refuse to work with networkers and rescuers to save lives, and have no SOPs for euthanasia decisions or infectious diseases.
Rarely is a decision made that benefits the community or the dogs they care for. They have implemented managed stray intake which puts the burden of strays on the community, they have stopped intaking and housing cats, and they are losing staff and volunteers who can't handle the toxic work environment.
Please continue sharing the petition. Our goal is 25,000 signatures and we have gotten leads for media coverage and our state legislators are looking at possible changes in the law.
Thanks much,
Lorena
