*Promotes transparency and accountability:* Fosters open communication and accountability within DFS, ensuring that all actions are subject to rigorous scrutiny and oversigh

 

*Recognizes the devastating impact on children:* Acknowledges the profound and lasting psychological harm caused by unwarranted family separation, particularly the trauma experienced by children like Octavia and Dylan

 

 

 

DFS cannot operate as an entity above the law. It is imperative that this agency be held accountable for its actions and that its practices align with the principles of justice and the fundamental rights of all citizens
