If we can't even choose to peacefully end our suffering when we are sick, who REALLY owns our bodies?

The government should get absolutely no say in whether or not we are allowed to end our pain and suffering, yet that's exactly what this so called "Death with Dignity" act does. It puts our lives in the hands of the government. When people are forced to suffer endless amounts of pain, there is no Dignity to be found.

Currently, the laws state that someone must have a prognosis of six months or less to live before the government will even consider ending their pain and suffering, completely leaving out those of us who have spent every second of our lives suffering since birth. It leaves out people with chronic, progressive illnesses that don't have a definite prognosis date. And that means we are being forced to suffer.

Why are we allowed to euthanize animals when they are in horrific pain, but we force human beings to suffer through it? We force them to go about ending their suffering on their own, which is never a good thing. Suicide often fails and leaves people in even more pain. But that's exactly what this law forces people with chronic pain to do. We have to either end it ourselves and hope it works, or continue spending every second of our lives in horrific amounts of pain with absolutely no quality of life. 

Its inhumane to ask humans to suffer like this. We don't do it to animals, why are we doing it to living, breathing, human beings? Why do bogus laws get to decide whether anyone continues to live or die if they don't want to anymore? We need your help to get these laws changed so that EVERYONE can have access to REAL "Death with Dignity."
