On Thursday, April 23rd the Lawrenceburg City Council had a meeting with public comments about the proposed data center. WLX Radio recorded the full meeting and you can view it on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/reel/2204542103625262
I brought to the meeting the petition that had 2,333 signatures as of 8am that morning to share with the council the desire for our voices to be heard. We have now reached over 2,607 signatures as of this update and I will be bringing those with me next week on Tuesday the 28th at 5pm to the County Commissioners meeting. While the County Commissioners have no say in the data center currently it is my understanding now that there are even less regulations for building in the county.
The goal is to have our voices heard and have open and transparent dialogue about the data center that is being built in our community. Construction has not started yet and we deserve as residents to be part of the conversation.
There has also been a Facebook group started to help us stay connected and engaged: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1642902477034287
