In many communities, including mine, the harassment of transgender individuals is alarmingly under-investigated by local police departments. Being a transgender person myself, I have experienced harassment on numerous occasions, only to find that my complaints were neglected and not taken seriously enough and dropped every time without communication.

For months, I have been subjected to ongoing harassment because I am a transgender person with political beliefs others disagree with. This harassment has escalated beyond words.

I have been physically assaulted.

More recently, posters containing my name, my home address, photographs of me partially undressed, and false, malicious accusations have been put up around my town. This is doxxing. It is dangerous, humiliating, and puts my life at risk.

According to the National Center for Transgender Equality, nearly 30% of transgender individuals have reported being harassed by police officers themselves, and many more have reported neglect or insufficient attention when attempting to report a crime.

To remedy this, we demand that the uk police mainly Norfolk police thorough investigations into reports of harassment against transgender individuals, without any bias due to the victim's political beliefs or identity. Local police departments need to implement training programs that sensitize officers to LGBTQ+ issues, ensuring that all reports are handled with due diligence and impartiality.

It's crucial for our safety and for the protection of human rights that law enforcement treats all cases of harassment with the seriousness they deserve.
