As a dedicated alumnus, fan, and passionate supporter of the Portland State University (PSU) Football team, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and hard work that our players put into every game and season. However, it is disheartening to continue to witness failed leadership that is leading to a winless season and loss of morale among the players. Our players deserve a leader who can motivate them, inspire excellence, and restore the pride of our cherished football program.

Coach Bruce Barnum has held the head coaching position since 2015, yet the team has consistently underperformed, with several seasons ending far below expectations. His leadership style has come into question due to lackluster performances and an inability to foster a culture of winning. According to recent statistics, Portland State Football has encountered numerous setbacks during his tenure, resulting in dissatisfaction among players and fans alike.

Additionally, media reports, including coverage from reputable sources have highlighted growing concerns regarding his approach to player development and game strategy, raising alarms within the PSU community.
