🌭🤢 Chicago-based Portillo's Hot Dogs committed in 2017 to transition its egg supply to 100% cage-free eggs by 2025. Well, it is now 2025, and the company has removed the policy from its website and hasn't shared any updates on making this switch for animal welfare. 

💪 Please join me in holding Portillo's accountable for its promise to customers and to egg-laying hens. 

Stop the horrible practice of "humane washing," in which corporations make bold statements about welfare practices without actually taking any action to back it up. 

‼️ Sign this petition to demand that Portillo's publishes its cage-free egg policy on its website, along with its current progress toward fulfilling this commitment. ‼️

 

 

 

 

While Portillo's remains silent, hundreds of thousands of hens are crammed into overcrowded battery cages, unable to even spread their wings. The wire cages injure and deform their feet, forced to stand on them with nowhere to rest. The unending suffering and stress for the hens' entire lives is horrifically cruel, and should never be allowed.
