As a parent of a student in the Pleasanton Unified School District, I have witnessed firsthand the detrimental impact of our district's budgetary decisions. Our dedicated teachers are leaving for neighboring districts due to inadequate benefits, low pay, and lack of support. Our children are losing their great teachers only to be replaced by an ever-changing roster of unqualified individuals or those not retained by other districts.

This is not just about our teachers; it's about the quality of education our children receive. Teachers are fundamental pillars in shaping our children's future, but how can they perform their duties effectively when they're constantly worried about their financial stability and health? 

We implore the Pleasanton Unified School District to re-prioritize its budget, emphasizing teacher salary and health benefits. We need stability within our teaching staff – we need educators who feel valued and supported so that they can focus on what truly matters: educating our children.

Signing this petition lets the Pleasanton School Board know that you want them to prioritize their budget to support students and educators.  We stand up for our teachers' rights to secure a better educational environment for all students within the district.

Como padre de un estudiante del Pleasanton Unified School District, he sido testigo de primera mano del impacto perjudicial de las decisiones presupuestarias de nuestro distrito. Nuestros dedicados maestros se están mudando a distritos vecinos debido a beneficios inadecuados, bajos salarios y falta de apoyo. Nuestros niños están perdiendo a sus grandes maestros sólo para ser reemplazados por una lista en constante cambio de personas no calificadas o que no son retenidas por otros distritos.

No se trata sólo de nuestros profesores; se trata de la calidad de la educación que reciben nuestros niños. Los maestros son pilares fundamentales en la configuración del futuro de nuestros hijos, pero ¿cómo pueden desempeñar sus funciones de manera efectiva cuando están constantemente preocupados por su estabilidad financiera y su salud?

Imploramos al Distrito Escolar Unificado de Pleasanton que vuelva a priorizar su presupuesto, enfatizando el salario de los maestros y los beneficios de salud. Necesitamos estabilidad dentro de nuestro personal docente; necesitamos educadores que se sientan valorados y apoyados para que puedan centrarse en lo que realmente importa: educar a nuestros hijos.

Al firmar esta petición, la Junta de educación de Plesanton (Pleasanton School Board) sabe que desea que prioricen su presupuesto para apoyar a los estudiantes y educadores.
