Phoenixville School Board Director Scott Overland has failed in his fundamental duty to ensure the safety of our children within the educational environment. By permitting and encouraging PSAD students to break official school policies, Overland has shown a blatant disregard for the well-being of the students he is entrusted to protect. This is not just a question of oversight; it is about endangering minor children by placing them in potentially harmful situations.

The instance that alarms us involves students being absent from school without permission and without their parents’ knowledge.
