As a student at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR, USA, I've found that there are limited areas on campus for studying. The few that exist are often overcrowded. This not only hampers our academic progress but also affects our mental wellbeing. Recent research has shown that quality green spaces have a profound positive impact on mental health (Liu et al, 2022). Therefore, I am urging Pacific University to consider the implementation of more open and green study spaces on campus.

The lack of sufficient study areas is not just an inconvenience; it's a barrier to our academic success and overall wellbeing. By creating more open and green study spaces, the university can provide us with an environment conducive to learning while also promoting our mental health.
