Yesterday I confirmed that the director of Noah Project Mashele Garrett Arndt is claiming that the Noah Project was billed in error for her personal vet bills and she and the board are taking the steps to correct this and replace any funds that were billed incorrectly. Her personal pets were all registered as being owned by Noah Project at SEVERAL different vet clinics!! She received prescriptions and bills that stated Noah Project owned her PERSONAL pets and at no point did she make efforts to change it!!! Will we ever know how far this goes? There is documentation from several years ago stating Noah Project owned her personal pets, so how far does this go back? And the firm that they hired to do the “financial audit”? It appears to be a firm representing them against these allegations, not to hold the director accountable for what she has done!!

Four days after the board was made aware  evidence had been turned over to the police, the director called the vet clinics and removed her personal pets from the shelters account so instead of investigating this quietly they told her what was happening! 

It is my understanding that certain board members have outside friendships with the director that stretch far beyond work. They even have had personal business dealings with one board member selling the director a new house this year! I am asking everyone to please call the Fruitport Police Department and the Muskegon County Prosecutors office and kindly ask them to hold this director accountable for what has happened. Please share this petition with everyone you know and everyone you don’t know. We cannot allow this to be covered up and for the current board to continue leading this wonderful organization!!
