Demand Nintendo to Deliver Quality Products at Reasonable Prices

Demand Nintendo to Deliver Quality Products at Reasonable Prices
The Issue
I'm an average Nintendo fan, one amongst millions who grew up captivated by the magic of their games. I remember thinking constantly in school, waiting to play landmark titles like The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, despite never playing a Zelda game. Their products were a large part of my childhood, as they continue to be for millions of kids, yes, but also young and even older adults. Now, as a college student, I see a much more greedy and darker side of Nintendo, one with high prices and questionable product quality.
The price tag on the new Switch 2 console alone is ridiculous - $450 for the basic package, and an additional $50 for the bundle with Mario Kart, a cost simply unmanageable for many. Moreover, the games can cost up to $90 a piece, an unfair request for games that are simply ports from the previous consoles. Others like Luigi's Mansion 2, demanding full price - or more - for a decade old game often at a compromised quality.
Furthermore, the covert monetization of the "Switch 2 Tour Game" and the inclusion of a revenue-generating online subscription button on the controller reinforced this alarming trend of putting profits over fans (something they're very happy doing considering Bowser said if you can't afford the Switch 2, just buy a Switch 1). This is a clear indication that something is very wrong with how Nintendo chooses to treat its incredibly loyal fans.
For being loyal fans to a franchise, this is not how we should be having to deal with. I and many others understand the challenges caused by inflation and tariffs, but that should not give any company the carte blanche to undervalue its customer base.
We demand better from Nintendo, a company we have given our time, money, and loyalty to. Please sign this petition, let Nintendo know that they can't keep treating us like second-rate customers.
