From my personal perspective, this is an extremely important issue. My concern stems from the recent action by Netflix in removing significant and culturally relevant scenes such as Bible verses in movies. It is disconcerting that, while we live in a society that promotes diversity and freedom of belief, digital content providers like Netflix can wield the power to control what we see and don't see, shaping our understanding and beliefs to fit their preferences.

Netflix has amassed a base of over 209 million subscribers worldwide as of 2021, according to Statista.com. Making it one of the largest digital content providers. With such a broad reach and influence, it is paramount that Netflix pays great heed to what they choose to censor. 

Eliminating religious facets from their films not only disregards the artistic intent of the creators but also limits the cultural and religious exposure that viewers such as myself get. This is not about promoting any specific religion, but about acknowledging that religious themes are a part of our diverse social fabric and should not be erased.

I urge viewers, creatives, and advocates of religious freedom to join me in this petition. We must call for Netflix to commit to cultural and religious respect, and desist from removing significant religious content from their films.
