750+ signatures - New Updates

Thank you all for 750 signatures! Emails have been sent to multiple media sources and news outlets to share the petition and what has been occurring at the College. We have yet to hear from the administration about the specific criteria used to select who was cut, how shared governance was applied to this decision, or who made the final call. The administration has continued to push this issue under the rug. However, programs on campus have begun to share what information they have, including the Psychology Department which sent students a direct email today acknowledging the cuts and saying the community is frustrated, angry, and confused. Individual departments are doing the communication the administration has refused to do, which is unacceptable. Many students in different programs are still unaware of the fact that classes they have registered for might not even have a professor for the class anymore. The college has yet to comment or share this publicly. Many current staff and faculty are yet to comment on this issue, out of fear of retaliation from the administration. That alone says everything about the environment that has been created. We are continuing to organize and share information amongst ourselves, and to the proper outlets. Be on the lookout for future updates as this is scaling and evolving quickly! Until then, we must continue to share the petition! The more signatures and comments we get the better case we have, if you were personally affected by these cuts please share your story. Alumni who are upset at the state of your college please share your feelings. This couldn’t be possible without everyone single one of you, thank you again! Next goal: 1000!
