Hello Family, Friends, & Supporters, 

Thank you for everything you have done to support me through this challenging ordeal. I have been moved and energized by numerous women sharing their stories with me. Now more than ever I am determined to pursue justice because this issue is bigger than just me, I am standing up for all women. We all deserve respectful care that keeps our dignity intact. 

I owe a special thank you to Ashe Birthing Services for spreading awareness about my OBGYN experience and opening the door with their following to have open, honest, and mature dialogue.  I learned that what happened to me is the norm and not the exception from countless birth workers, nurses, and other patients throughout the healthcare system.  

Unfortunately, Dr. Francis and Mount Sinai have chosen to threaten violence through cyber-bullying. I know that the person who threatened to shoot me is an associate of Dr. Francis because they sloppily referred to details from my personal health portal that I had not previously made public. I published a blog post with screenshots of the cyber-bullying and evidence that information was lifted from My Chart at Mount Sinai.

She also had her associate declare that I am speaking out about my mistreatment because I am "jealous" of her fairer skin complexion. This not a set of tactics that one would expect from a mature woman of any vocation and only encourages me to up the ante on my advocacy. 

If you have not already, please share my petition with your network and encourage them to sign, we need to hold people and institutions accountable.
