I am a Muslim living in a community where access to Halal food is limited. This issue is deeply personal to me, as my faith requires me to consume only Halal products. However, the lack of availability makes it challenging for me and many others in our community to adhere to our religious dietary restrictions.

Halal food is not just about religion; it's about quality and ethical treatment of animals. According to Islamic law, animals must be treated with respect and kindness before they are slaughtered for consumption (Source: Islamic Council of Victoria). Yet, despite the growing Muslim population worldwide estimated at 1.8 billion (Source: Pew Research Center), many supermarkets fail to cater adequately for this significant demographic.

We call on local supermarkets and grocery stores to increase their range of Halal options. By doing so, they will not only respect diversity but also tap into a market that continues growing each year.
