The Issue

It's heartbreaking to see so many pets in Reno waiting for the love and warmth of a forever home. These babies need homes!!! Right now, our local shelters are overwhelmed with the number of animals in need. If you're not able to adopt, there are still so many ways you can help—foster, volunteer, or even take a dog out for a day! But it's clear that personal efforts aren't enough; our shelters need more financial support to operate effectively.

With increased funding, our shelters can expand their capacity, improve living conditions, and provide better care for these animals. More resources would mean adding staff to ensure every animal gets individual attention, nutritious food, and essential medical care. Just imagine the difference we could make in their lives by ensuring each one has the love and attention they deserve.

Animal homelessness is a community issue, and we have a responsibility to step up and make a change. With additional financial backing, the shelters can also run more outreach programs to educate the community about adoption and responsible pet ownership, reducing the number of animals ending up in shelters in the first place.

The Reno community has always cared deeply about its animals. It's time we demand that our local government prioritize funding towards our shelters. Together, we can transform our shelters into a haven for our feline and canine friends.

Let's show our local government that Reno citizens are passionate about providing these animals with the homes they so desperately need. Sign this petition and help us push for more funding to better the lives of shelter animals in our community. Your signature could be the change they need.
