We, the undersigned students, faculty, and staff of Montana State University, believe that the threat of deportations poses an existential threat to our campus culture and community. So far, 3 international MSU students have had their Visas unilaterally revoked by the Trump administration. As the students of Montana State University, we demand that the university administration take action to protect its students by declaring itself a Sanctuary Campus and implementing the following policies: 

1) Not allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers onto campus without a warrant.
2) The refusal of campus police to enforce immigration law.
3) Not sharing student immigration status with ICE.
4) Not gathering information on immigration or citizenship status.
5) Providing tuition support, including in-state tuition rates  to students with DACA status.
6) Providing distance-learning options for deported students to complete their degrees.
7) Providing confidential legal support to students with immigration law questions and issues.

8) Reducing the deployment of campus police to protests that seek to include undocumented students and workers to avoid intimidation of undocumented activists.
