Mayor Troy Thompson has repeatedly misled the citizens of Townsville, QLD, with false statements and fallacies. His actions have eroded public trust and raised serious concerns about his leadership and trustworthiness. It is time for accountability and change in our local government. Ironic Mayor Troy Thompson ran his election on 'public accountability and transparency', which he has made even worse. Thompson has lied to us about: 

• His service in the Australian Army, where he claimed to have served in the SAS and 2 other units for a period of 5 years. In reality, he served as a Reservist Caterer/Cook on the days he actually went in.
  • He also claimed he would be transparent and realise his military documents, which he has since backtracked on. 
• His many University Degrees, which he claimed to have earned
• He was disendorsed by One Nation for lying to Pauline Hanson about a 6 million Bankruptcy where he was the CEO
• His issue with fraud
• He was in the Cowboys Young Guns Squad and could have been selected for state of origin
• His Domestic Violence Orders against him
• He would deliver a rate freeze for Townsville residents

If that isn't enough... he is being investigated for electoral violations, stolen valour, and embezzlement.

If there is one thing I know about compulsive liars, it is that they don't stop! It is our right to be governed by truth and honesty. It doesn't take much to tell the truth, and it is time we demand this from our leaders.
