Demand Marion County Sheriff's Department to Regularly Update Missing Person Flyers

The Issue

On March 3rd, 2023, my dear sister, Sara Ebersole went missing. Ever since that tragic day, our lives have been filled with agony, constantly worrying about her whereabouts and safety. To aid in the search, the Marion County Sheriff's Department issued a missing person flyer about Sara. The flyer stated that she was last seen getting into a black truck. Regrettably, there have been no updates to that flyer since it was first circulated on March 31st 2023 via MCSO Facebook page.

The Chevy Silverado Pickup was Located shortly after in April 2023.

Updating missing persons flyers regularly with the latest data and facts can significantly increase their efficacy in guiding investigations. Unfortunately, the lack of updates in Sara's case is a grave oversight. We believe, with more than 600,000 individuals going missing in the U.S. every year, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, it is of utmost importance that law enforcement agencies continue refining and updating information to maximize chances of locating missing persons.

We fervently appeal to the Marion County Sheriff's Department to update Sara's flyer and include any new relevant information, if any, gathered since her disappearance. This vital step could provide fresh leads or jog the memory of those who might have information related to Sara's case. By making this change, it can hopefully lead to new breakthroughs not just in Sara's case, but in countless others where the facts have developed over time.

Please, help us fulfill this request by signing this petition. Your signature can lead us one step closer to finding Sara and bringing her home.
