Millions of people around the world are in support of Palestine, and demand for a ceasefire, they sign and spread related petitions, they donate to Palestine affiliated charities, and they march up and down the streets of major cities, One of the ways they show their support is boycotting any Israeli products and companies in support of Israel.

The boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement (BDS) has been on the rise since it was launched in 2005 in response to the continued oppression of Palestinians by the Israel, and has gained traction during the current conflict. Companies and major brands that supply or fund the Israeli government have been targeted as part of the BDS campaign.

These companies include (but are not limited to):

• HP (Hewlett-Packard)
• McDonald's
• Sabra
• Starbucks
• Puma
• Siemens 
• Israel-based fruits and vegetables

It has become increasingly evident that the Israeli government continues to violate human rights and oppress Palestinians with impunity. Companies or brands that are supporting the Israeli state need to be held accountable and should make a point to drop their assistance, whether it be through funds or their products. This would be a huge step in making sure that the Palestinians are not subject to further abuse and will give the push to governments to also end their financial support to Israel.

It's important for us as individuals to make our voices heard in this matter and to speak out against large corporations and companies that are continuing to aid this oppressive regime. There are ways we can make our voices heard such as through boycotts, protests, and other forms of collective action. Including petitions like these, so continue to sign, share, and speak up about them. It can also be important to speak to high-level representatives of such companies and make them aware of the growing public outcry against any kind of support for the Israeli government. It is highly likely that if enough people can come together with a unified voice, we may be able to pressure companies to stop their support and eventually help lead to a just resolution to the Palestinian struggle.

It's also important to be aware of the BDS' specific demands and know exactly what to boycott. As such boycotts and movements are much more effective when they are clear, focused, and strategically selected. The broader and more generalized they are, the less effective they become.

As the Israeli-Palestine conflict rages on, and the Palestinian death toll rises, it is time to put pressure on companies to cut off all ties and support to Israeli government. Let those in charge know that we will no longer buy or endorse their products if they continue to fund and/or supply Israel.
