This petition is deeply personal to me as a Black woman who has experienced numerous injustices in the corporate world. It is a call for justice for Dr. Antoinette Candia-Bailey, the late Vice President of Academic Affairs at Lincoln University, who tragically took her own life due to severe mistreatment and bullying from President John Moseley.

Workplace bullying is an issue that affects many people worldwide. According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, 19% of Americans have suffered abusive conduct at work (Workplace Bullying Institute, 2017). In this case, it led to a tragic loss of life.

Lincoln University is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). It is mind-blowing that a white male was allowed to exhibit this type of behavior at the institution. HBCUs should be a safe haven for faculty and students. 

Lincoln University must take responsibility for this tragedy by terminating Dr. John Moseley's employment immediately. His actions have shown him unfit for his position and his continued presence at the university sends a message that such behavior is acceptable.

We cannot stand by while workplace bullying continues unchecked in our institutions of higher learning. We demand justice for Dr. Candia-Bailey and all victims of workplace bullying.
