As a resident of Wrea Green, I've witnessed the alarming rise in accidents, injuries, and near misses in our village. The majority of these incidents occur outside our primary school where children are at risk. It's only a matter of time before we face a fatality if no action is taken.

We urgently need commitments from the Lancashire Constabulary and the Police and Crime Commissioner to prioritise and enforce existing laws related to speeding, dangerous driving, and illegal parking. We also call for support for new measures that would help reduce these increased incidents and risks to life.

We believe that by taking decisive action now we can prevent future tragedies from occurring. Our community deserves safe roads where residents can walk without fear or danger.
