Hello Again My Beautiful New Friends,
I would like to take a moment once more, to thank all of you for your signatures, shares and donations to our campaign. I am proud to say that we are almost up to 400 signees!
It truly warms my icy heart, to see so many people as passionate about this cause as I am. I see you; I hear you and I appreciate you!
As a naturally introverted person, starting and working tirelessly at this campaign, has been far out of the realm of my usual character. However, most of our Legends are no longer here with us to be their own advocates, which means, that responsibility falls onto us, their TRUE fans!
I believe it is a privilege to be able to work on their behalf, to protect the legacies and treasures they have left behind. Unfortunately, I am starting to run out of avenues in which I can personally take to promote our cause.
I have been banned from commenting our petition link several times on both Facebook and YouTube. "Something that would usually unnerve me, but in this case, I take as a badge of honor." Giggles.
Of course, that has made it quite difficult to get the word out there, in any enthusiastic way.
I have also posted our petition to Instagram, Reddit's petition board (twice & counting,) and have even gone WAY out of my personal comfort zone to make a couple of TikTok videos promoting it. Though, I am really not sure just how much traffic I am actually getting with these platforms.
I have considered starting a Twitter account, but am surprisingly unfamiliar with that platform, nor do I know how to amass the following needed to be able to get the word out on it adequately.
I am doing everything that I, myself, know how to do. Annoyingly, I have hit a bit of a roadblock as to what I can personally accomplish on my own.
Although, we have made HUGE strides in the past few weeks, I firmly believe that in order for this petition to make the wave of change for which it is intended, it MUST do so in a timeframe where its subject remains reasonably relevant in the mind of the public.
If too long goes by, the wound will scar over, and even though it is still an ugly wound, the public will care less if it is not actively bleeding. Which in turn, may cause less active caution towards another wound occurring. Crude metaphor, I know and apologize, but it is the only way I could reasonably put into context the haste in which we must act.
With that being said, the time has come, where I must humbly curtsey before you all, and risk sounding ungracefully greedy, by making this plea:
Although, you have already established your support for this cause, for which I am forever grateful, Madeline must ask, with great love and respect, for additional help getting our petitions link spread to the masses.
I know there are MANY more supporters out there, whom I do not have the capabilities to reach on my own. I know that there are many of you who have signed, who have much greater influence than me, and have the ability and know-how to reach these individuals, on a scope in which I cannot personally compete.
I, with vintage Schiaparelli hat in hand, truly beg of you, PLEASE use that influence for the good we are trying to achieve!
Whoever, whatever, wherever and however you must share, please, please, please do!
Although, I may not be able to petition as aggressively as I did in the beginning, I am NOT going to stop. I am going to continue doing what I am doing. I am going to be here, working on this until the very end, but I need your help!
TOGETHER...WE...CAN...DO...THIS!!!
Love,
~ Madeline ~
