The Issue

I'm reaching out today to share a deeply personal and painful story of survival. As a former inmate at FCI Dublin, a federal correctional institution, I personally experienced and witnessed the horrific abuse and misconduct that has plagued this facility. During my time there, I endured and observed a toxic environment that inflicted deep emotional and physical harm, leaving indelible scars on myself and many others. The abuse we faced wasn't isolated; it was a widespread issue that has garnered national attention. Several staff members have been criminally charged, and there is an ongoing investigation into the systemic failures that allowed such abuse to perpetuate. Yet, this is just the tip of the iceberg. While enduring this nightmare, I found a lifeline in a program called Woo Women - Women Overcoming Obstacles. They helped me find strength and courage to fight back when I felt the whole system had abandoned us. Their support fueled my determination to shift from fear to fight, to speak my truth and stand up for other women like me who society has forgotten. It's time for change; it's time for justice. We demand thorough investigations and accountability for all individuals involved in this abuse. We call for comprehensive reforms to ensure that these horrendous acts are never repeated. Institutional systems must be overhauled to prioritize the safety and well-being of those they are meant to protect. Together, let us advocate for justice, not just for myself but for all the women who suffered and are suffering in silence. We must ensure that these forgotten voices are heard and that meaningful change is implemented. Join me in demanding justice and reform at FCI Dublin. Let's hold those in power accountable and ensure that such failures of oversight and protection never happen again. Sign this petition and help make our collective voice heard for those who can no longer speak for themselves.
