Demand Justice for the Young Cow Run Over by Surrey Police: Send to a Sanctuary, Not the Farm

The Issue

Our anguish began when a young cow, involved in an unfortunate incident, was hit by a Surrey Police vehicle. As a compassionate Vegan individual, I witnessed this unsettling event, and I believe we must ensure the well-being of the cow in the aftermath.

The cow managed to slip from its farm-bound confines and found itself in the midst of human civilization, no doubt panicked and confused. The resultant encounter with law enforcement led to it being hit, which seems not just tragic, but an unnecessary outcome of an already stressful situation for the animal.

Animal sanctuaries provide a needed refuge for such animals, allowing them a second chance at life free from captivity, confinement, and harm. There are an estimated 170 animal sanctuaries in the UK (source: The Vegan Society, UK), each striving to safeguard the well-being of animals.

We assert that instead of going back to the farm - a place likely associated with trauma - the cow should be sent to a sanctuary. Here it can heal physically and psychologically, surrounded by kindness, compassion, and other animals who have had similar experiences.

We, animal lovers, and compassionate humans, urge the Surrey authorities to do the right thing. Show that our society won't turn a blind eye to the suffering and fear of animals. Isn't it time we stood up for those who cannot speak for themselves?

Please join this effort to see justice done for this young cow. Your signature can be a stroke in the masterpiece that is a more compassionate world. Sign this petition today.
