As a parent to a girl child myself, I understand the feeling of fear and concern for our children's safety. Tragically, a small girl has become a recent victim of violence. I can't help but see my own daughter's face in hers and this personal connection drives my quest for justice.

Justice must be served for this little girl - no child should go through what she endured. Our societies have the potential to be safer, kinder places for our children. However, currently, children are in danger. Every 7 minutes, a child is victimized, according to a UNICEF report (2017). This means around 200 children are harmed daily. Every single one of these cases deserves justice but today, we focus on this specific little girl.
