The Issue

This is a plea that resonates with anyone who has a heart, especially those of us who have pets. Imagine your beloved pet being captured and brutally murdered by a deranged individual. A teenager in London, Ontario named Shanessa Tabibzahda did just that to an innocent cat she found in her neighborhood. She didn't just take it home; she posted videos of herself torturing it, breaking its bones, and eventually killing it before discarding its body out of her bedroom window.

This horrifying act of cruelty is not only morally reprehensible but also illegal under Canadian law. The Criminal Code of Canada (Section 445.1) states that "everyone commits an offence who wilfully causes or permits unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal." If convicted under this section, individuals can face up to five years imprisonment.

Shanessa Tabibzahda will be appearing in court on May 13th, 2023. We need your help to ensure justice is served for this poor creature who suffered so much at her hands.

By signing this petition you are calling on the courts to impose the maximum sentence possible under Canadian law for animal cruelty charges against Shanessa Tabibzahda. Let's send a clear message that such heinous acts will not be tolerated in our society and demand justice for this innocent cat's life taken too soon.

Please sign this petition today; let's make sure justice prevails!
