Demand justice for Shanquella Robinson

Le problème

As a mother, sister, aunt, daughter, grandmother, wife, niece, and friend, I stand here as more than a woman; I am a woman of color who, like Shanquella Robinson, matters. When Shanquella traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, she never returned home. Her death, shrouded in mystery and allegedly caused by the so-called 'Cabo 6,' has yet to be given the justice it rightfully deserves.

Despite overwhelming evidence presented, these individuals have not faced the necessary legal actions. Shanquella's story is emblematic of a larger issue, where the death of a black woman falls into silence, and justice is deferred. Her case demands attention and resolution for every woman who could then be the next Shanquella.

The United States has the capability and responsibility to intervene by locating, arresting, and extraditing the 'Cabo 6' to Mexico. This extradition means holding individuals accountable and respecting the rule of law that has long stood for equality and justice.

Shanquella’s family deserves closure and peace, while a message is sent around the world that violence, especially against women of color, will not be tolerated. Her life was valuable and her story deserves an ending that honors her spirit.

We urge the U.S. authorities, including the Department of Justice and the Secretary of State, to act decisively. The apprehension and extradition of the individuals involved will not only deliver justice for Shanquella but will also stand as a testament to the relentless pursuit of justice regardless of nationality, race, or gender.

Join me in demanding immediate action. Bring the 'Cabo 6' back to Mexico to face the charges in connection to Shanquella Robinson’s untimely and unjust death. Let us affirm that every life matters and exhort your support for justice. Sign the petition, as together, we can ensure that Shanquella’s voice – and the voices of so many others – are not lost. Together, let's help write the final chapter of this tragedy with justice at its heart.
